We are looking for the best and the brightest top-notch Drive Manager/Head Porter to join our rapidly expanding service team at our Jaguar Land Rover Los Angeles dealership.

The Driver Manager/Head Porter helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the Sales/Service area, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed.

Compensation: $81,600/year

Responsibilities

  • Maintain placement and oversee all inventory vehicles on the dealer and overflow lots – new and pre-owned.
  • Serve as the Head Porter for the dealership, helping guide and coach the other porters in best practices maintaining, a strong working Porter Team.
  • Work with all management team to set the daily tasks for the day.
  • Maintain a positive and pro-active working relationship with management and sales teams.
  • Driving dealership and customer vehicles safely on and off the lot.
  • Handling inventory checks, including maintaining security for high-value vehicles.
  • Ensuring vehicles are stored securely and in compliance with dealership policies.
  • Representing the dealership while interacting with third-party vendors or customers during vehicle deliveries or pick-ups.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the dealership's property and vehicles.
  • Aware of customer facing tasks and concerns, effectively handling them as needed.
  • Clean, prepare, detail, and gas vehicles as needed per Sales & Service Department requests.
  • Be flexible about what the Sales & Service Department may need and support the daily tasks at hand including: delivering vehicles to other dealers like dealer trades, driving vehicles to and from client’s residence and picking up sales consultants from delivery locations.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and complete all tasks in a timely professional manner.
  • Embrace the D.R.I.V.E.N culture principles set out by our corporation and deliver the Red-Carpet Treatment to our guests.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Proven record in managing driver operations.
  • Ability to use transportation software and wireless tablets.
  • Ability and desire to lead a successful team. Recruit, train, and oversee talent for team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to walk, run, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
