JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Service Desk Technician for a 6M C2H opportunity that is located in Dallas, TX 75254 (onsite 5-days per week). The Senior Service Desk Technician will maintain and support the IT Infrastructure, including network, servers, security, storage administration, and business continuity (power / outages). The Senior Service Desk Technician will provide remote global support, through continuous monitoring of all internal / external active network connections. The Service Desk Technician will configure and distribute equipment and peripherals and provides desktop support to ensure smooth operation, performance, and organizational growth.
  • Manage Project / Vendor Relationships - Manage Local Sub-Contractors / Consultants / Vendors
  • Provide Day-to-Day IT Helpdesk Support to Resolve Issues - Meet IT Helpdesk SLA on Assigned Tickets
  • Configure / Deploy Computers / Peripherals Across the Organization
  • Maintain Infrastructure Globally - Emphasis on Availability / Reliability / Performance to Ensure Stability Enterprise-wide | Monitor / Analyze Issues
  • Coach / Mentor Local Team Members / Consultants for Professional Development / Performance / Improvement Activities, etc.
  • Ensure Compliance with IT Security Standards / Best Practices
  • Identify / Provide Guidance on the Adoption of Selection Methods / Techniques / Evaluation Criteria for Obtaining Optimal Results within the Global IT Team / Local Business
  • Leverage Technology / Enhance Process Efficiencies to Support Goals
  • Provide Input / Expert Knowledge on Technology / Processes to Increate Reliability / Simplicity / Cost-Effectiveness / Recoverability / Overall Effectiveness of the LAN / WAN and Supporting Systems / Issues, etc.
  • Maintain Telephonic Infrastructure Across Multiple Regions
  • Maintain Effective Asset Tracking to Allow Visibility into Equipment Lifecycle
  • Identify / Mitigate Network Performance Issues - Availability / Utilization / Throughput / Latency
  • Accomplish Organizational Goals by Fulfilling New / Different Requests - Explore Opportunities to Add Value
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Service Desk Technician (5+ years) - Support Network / Servers / Security / Storage Administration / Business Continuity (Power / Outages) / VoIP / Desktop PCs, etc.
  • Network Support (basic-to-intermediate) (2+ years) - Routing / Switching / LAN/WAN / SD-WAN
  • Firewall Support (basic-to-intermediate) - Cisco Meraki (strongly preferred) / ASA, etc.
  • Office / M365 Support - Azure / AAD (Entra ID) / MS Endpoint Management / AD / MS Defender, etc.
  • Cloud Platform - Hybrid Domains / InTune / MS Endpoint / Exchange Online
PREFERRED (not required)
  • Citrix Cloud Platform - Publishing Desktops / Remote Apps, etc.
  • CAD Software (Autodesk / Auto CAD Inventor) - Installation / Maintenance
  • Epicor 10 / MS Dynamics (D365)
  • Engineering Design / Commercial Industrial Manufacturing Industry
