Job Summary

The Service Controller is responsible for the end-to-end financial oversight of service contracts managed through the SAP Project System (PS) module. This role supports service operations by monitoring contract performance, ensuring accurate revenue and cost recognition, and enabling robust forecasting and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities:

Contract Setup and System Alignment:

• Contract Set-up and System Configuration:
• Support the creation of project structures (WBS elements) in SAP PS for each service contract.
• Configure milestones and billing plans in alignment with contractual performance obligations.
• Ensure accurate mapping of cost objects and FX agreements when applicable.

Monitoring and Controllership:

• Track costs, hours, and revenue realization against milestones or time-based criteria.
• The revenue was completed and costs recognized according to the accounting standards and contract terms
• Monitor and validate labor hours booked against contracts; collaborate with contract/project managers to ensure correct personnel allocation.
• Review and control expenses such as travel and materials related to service jobs.
• Detect deviations from expected costs or billing and provide explanations and corrective actions.
• Review collection and execution risks and contingencies.

Forecasting and Reporting:

• Build forecasts for revenue, cost, and cash flow at the job/contract level.
• Provide weekly profitability and cash flow outlooks using data extracted directly from SAP PS.
• Collaborate with the business to provide visibility on job-level financials (job-level P&L), supporting better decision-making.

Compliance and Coordination:

• Ensure proper revenue recognition aligned with applicable accounting standards
• Maintain alignment with accounting teams to automate and standardize as much of the process as possible ("no-touch" accounting).
• Serve as the financial focal point for service contracts, liaising with Marcio Cruz’s organization and regional business stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Prior experience in controllership or FP&A roles preferred.
• Strong analytical and system skills (especially SAP PS).
• Understanding of service contract revenue recognition.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with contract managers, planners, and operational teams.
• Attention to detail and proactive attitude in financial monitoring.
