BAE Systems is seeking a motivated, self-driven, Systems Engineer for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) and other evolving business pursuits. This Systems Engineering position is a unique opportunity to develop Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) architecture models for existing and new acquisitions efforts.

This new ICBM program will design, develop, produce, and deploy new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy, lethality, and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) interoperable operations. Program activities will also include the employment of digital acquisitions through the application of digital engineering, agile software development, and open systems architectures.

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Continual Improvement Engineer to join our team located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia supporting Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) efforts to implement the architecture, required services, and facilitate adoption of Army Cloud (cARMY) services. The program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) to support overall strategy and migration to cARMY environment that currently includes Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure clouds at IL 2, 4, 5 and 6.

The successful candidate performs engineering continual improvement, availability, capacity, performance, and problem management. Ensures flexible and scalable IT service solutions to enhance each supported activity’s ability to respond to dynamic needs in their respective AOR; Deliver improvements to support operational, technical, and program efficiencies to effectively manage costs without compromising the timeliness or quality of services; help meet the needs of the growing complexities of the technological and operational environment. Recommends and tracks engineering/design tasks to improve the quality of services over the life of the Task Order. Develops the core technical platform, capabilities, and services that support business processes and data including: Mapping the relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components (i.e., Technology End Users, IT Systems Software & Hardware, and Info-Communications Transmission Networks). Identifying the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organization's ability to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets. Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of working experience, may substitute experience for education such as High School graduate with 10+ years of experience; candidates with Armed Forces courses, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.
• DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) Intermediate qualification (e.g. Security+ CA) within 6 months of starting position.
• Must be located within 75 miles of ECMA at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
