Division

A market-leading developer of software products for the automotive repair industry; our R.O. Writer shop management system (www.rowriter.com) is currently deployed in over 4,000 locations throughout the United States and Canada. We are currently looking for a full stack senior web developer for a full-time opportunity in our web application team.

Responsibilities

The Senior Web Developer translates visual and user-centered design specifications and business requirements into functional, standards compliant websites and web applications that generate revenue, increase productivity, or minimize ongoing costs. This individual leverages OOP patterns along with the latest web technologies to coordinate development of highly scalable web applications.

• Work with UI, designers, and front-end developers to translate designs into functional Internet applications, websites, and other browser-based tools
• Adheres to web development standards for the development team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results in a timely manner as an individual and as a technical team member on web projects
• The ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills and dedication to quality
• Must have excellent attention to details
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently on projects
• Strong English-speaking ability.
• Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer or technical-related field with courses and training in web design, usability, and development or equivalent experience
• Proven 7+ years in software development.
• Able to create accurate time estimates and development plans for upcoming projects, reviews and validates estimates and development tasks from junior team members
• Excellent understanding of a broad range of development languages and frameworks including but not limited to ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core (Web Forms, MVC, Blazor), ES6, Bootstrap, REST APIs, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, LINQ, MS SQL Server, JavaScript, and web standards (WCAG 2, HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
• Strong understanding of source code management technologies (GIT)
• Strong understanding of OOP and Solid principles
• Basic working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira is desirable
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop an understanding of a large and complex code base.
