My client is looking for a VMware Platform Engineering professional to support the infrastructure evolution and strategic platform objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain VMware platforms including VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) and VCT (VMware Cloud Technologies)
• Ensure integration with storage systems (preferably vSAN) and networking infrastructure (especially EnergyX Networking)
• Utilize Ansible for automation across the infrastructure stack
• Support and evolve current platform services running on OpenStack and OpenShift
• Collaborate with the Observability and Networking teams to align infrastructure with monitoring and telemetry best practices
• Contribute to platform reliability, scalability, and performance optimization
• Possibly mentor or help transition knowledge to a downsized team (from 75 to ~35 staff)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a VMware Engineer with a strong platform background
• Deep expertise in VCF, vSAN, and VMware automation tooling
• Strong knowledge of Ansible, storage architecture, and network virtualization
• Background in OpenStack/OpenShift environments
• Familiarity with Splunk and Observability frameworks is a plus
• Strong documentation, collaboration, and project ownership skills
