The Senior Vice President of Hospice will be responsible for overseeing the whole of the Hospice Business for Silverado. As an executive, this individual will develop and execute the overall culture and strategy, operations, quality, and service, ensuring that the operational growth and development of the program(s) are meeting or exceeding projected measurable standards. Working with the site Administrators and Regional teams, the SVP of Hospice will model the Silverado culture while ensuring the highest quality patient care, pursuing aggressive organic growth, and the highest ratings.

Qualification
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, master's degree in health care or related field preferred. Certificate in Hospice and Palliative Care Management is preferred.
* Must have 15 years or more of Hospice experience including progressive leadership roles.
* Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
* Has ability to deal tactfully with the community. Has knowledge of corporate business management.
* Ability to organize, delegate, supervise and evaluate associates.
* Understands hospice and palliative care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
* Must possess a sympathetic attitude toward caring for hospice patients and demonstrate an empathetic communication style with patients, families, and associates.
* Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification and Palliative Care Joint Commission guidelines
* Must have valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
* Ability to read, write and speak English.
* Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.
What you'll be doing:
* Silverado leaders are the core of our values and culture. Professionalism, compassion, and high-levels of performance must be modeled at all times.
* Oversees and manages the operations, strategy, and overall direction of the hospice service line, including the Administrators and Regional Directors provisioning of hospice services to patients and families. The SVP is accountable for the performance of Hospice and all related outcomes for sales, clinical, operations, and outside relationships.
* Carries out the organization's purposes in a manner consistent with the goals, objectives, and established policies, evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and to the philosophies of Silverado Hospice.
* Ensures excellence through the employment of high-quality hospice staff.
* Compliance is a high priority. The SVP establishes and ensures standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and guidelines for the Hospice Program.
* Manages EMR and all Hospice technology application systems, including budget, compliance, usage, and effectiveness. Organizes and directs all services and functions of the Silverado Hospice program by working with site leaders including but not limited to Administrators, Director of Patient Care Services, Director of Family and Support Services, Director of Business Development, Business Office Managers, Regional Team Leaders, Director of Patient Care Services to ensure effective management of the Interdisciplinary Team.
* Develops, coordinates, and monitors the annual programs budget, market mix, CAP, and revenue performance.
* Interdepartmental cooperation is a core skill set for all Silverado leaders, specifically with revenue cycle management, finance, human resources, and all other service lines.
* Set sales, PUC/ADC, and quality targets, holds themselves and associates accountable for tracking and meeting goals.
* Mentors, evaluates, and trains new and existing regional leaders and site Administrators to ensure the best integration, performance, culture and professional development.
* Manages all vendor, referral sources, and partnership relationships, including written service agreements with other approved providers for services necessary to meet the needs of the patient and family.
* This position requires the ability to function independently. As it is a healthcare position caring for individuals with chronic and/or terminal illnesses, the environment can be mentally and emotionally stressful and also involves working with emotionally upset patients and family members. This position requires the ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. It requires the ability to remain calm and level-headed in emergencies as well as the highest levels of customer service.

Anticipated pay range
$250,000-$275,000 USD
