Our large corporate client is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their cross-functional design team. In this Consultant role, you will be supporting their mobile banking app and work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to uncover client needs, guide design strategy, and shape impactful digital experiences for millions of users.

Plan and execute generative and evaluative research across the product lifecycle
Collaborate with two mobile design squads to define research needs and prioritize questions
Analyze the competitive landscape to uncover strategic opportunities
Facilitate workshops and design-thinking sessions with cross-functional partners
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for design, product, and business teams
Guide and mentor teams in designer-led usability testing
Present research findings to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and impact
Monitor post-release performance and support ongoing product optimization
7–10+ years of experience in UX or design research
Expert in mixed-methodology research with ability to select the right tools for the job
Strong analytical mindset – you can dig deep into data and explain the “why” behind user behaviors
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Confident in crafting research plans, identifying knowledge gaps, and influencing product strategy
Adept at working with complex systems and navigating ambiguity
Comfortable conducting research in financial services or similarly regulated industries (a plus, not a must)
Understand basic financial concepts (e.g., credit, account structures) or eager to learn
Essential: Figma, Mural, Microsoft Office, Keynote
Preferred: Alida, UserTesting.com, Maze, Bloomfire, Confluence
Other user research and usability testing platforms are welcome
You’ll articulate what the users need – and why – in ways that inform product direction
You’ll develop trusted relationships across design, product, and tech
You’ll help the team see how each problem connects to a broader client and business vision
You’ll uncover opportunities for impactful service design within the mobile experiences
You’ll champion a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning
Familiarity with iOS and Android design patterns
Ability to evaluate research and product metrics post-launch
Prior experience facilitating research-driven workshops
Case studies or portfolio samples to demonstrate your research approach (highly preferred)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is C$53.75 to C$63.75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
