Senior UX Designer

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the development of intuitive and engaging software experiences. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in user experience design, strong visual and branding capabilities, and a proven ability to build and maintain Design Language Systems (DLS) in Figma. This role requires independent judgment, creative problem-solving, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class digital products.

Responsibilities:

• Design user interfaces that adhere to established UI standards and best practices (e.g., W3C, Google Material Design, Apple HIG, Android Design Guidelines)
• Apply Baxter design patterns where applicable
• Create UI prototypes for user testing, stakeholder review, and marketing presentations
• Conduct and participate in user research, including customer interviews and usability testing
• Develop and document UX design specifications and detailed interaction patterns
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and research teams to improve product design and usability
• Independently manage and execute UX assignments with minimal supervision
• Utilize modern design tools and project methodologies to manage tasks and cross-team communication

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of UX design principles and best practices
• Advanced Figma skills (components, variables, auto-layout, theming, etc.)
• Experience designing and managing Design Language Systems (DLS)
• Strong visual and branding design background
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with software development teams
• Passion for user-centered design and improving digital experiences
• Willingness to travel to client or customer sites and meet hospital credentialing requirements

Contract Talent The salary range for this position is 60/hr to 67/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
