Job Description

We are seeking a Senior UI Designer who will be responsible for creating visually appealing, intuitive, and scalable interfaces across our digital banking platforms. Your role will focus on crafting beautiful, functional designs that enhance the user experience and align with our business objectives. With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the banking and/or fintech sectors, you will collaborate closely with digital channel specialists, business analysts, and developers to deliver visually engaging and user-friendly UI designs.

Key Responsibilities

Interface Design & Execution:

• Design sleek, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing UI elements for mobile apps, websites, and other digital platforms.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into engaging visual designs, ensuring that the interface is both functional and attractive.
• Develop and implement high-fidelity prototypes and mockups for various digital channels, focusing on visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and overall design coherence.
• Optimize the UI for a variety of screen sizes and devices, ensuring a responsive and mobile-first design approach.

Consistency & Design Systems:

• Maintain and expand the ColendiBank Design System, ensuring consistency in visual elements across all digital products.
• Develop UI components such as buttons, icons, and other graphical elements that follow a cohesive visual style.
• Ensure the seamless integration of branding guidelines into all UI designs, maintaining visual consistency across the board.

Collaboration & Handoff:

• Work closely with customer experience and digital channel specialists, business analysts, and front-end developers to align on design requirements and project goals.
• Participate in design reviews, providing feedback and ensuring that design solutions meet the project objectives.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs, using tools like Figma and Sketch.
• Conduct handoffs to developers, ensuring that design assets, specifications, and interactions are clear and executable.

Research & Data-Driven Design:

• Collaborate with customer experience and digital channel specialists as well as data analysts to incorporate user feedback and insights into the design process.
• Use A/B testing tools and design metrics to refine and optimize UI elements, driving user engagement and conversions.
• Analyze user behavior data to make informed design decisions, improving overall interface usability and visual appeal.

Innovation & Best Practices:

• Stay up to date with UI design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure that ColendiBank remains at the cutting edge of digital banking interface design.
• Continuously explore new ways to innovate and enhance the user interface, ensuring that it meets the highest industry standards in terms of aesthetics and functionality.
• Incorporate motion and micro-interactions where appropriate to enhance user engagement.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional UI design experience, within the banking and/or fintech sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to create clean, functional, and visually engaging user interfaces across mobile and web platforms.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI design work, with a focus on visual design, interface architecture, and cross-platform design solutions.
• Strong proficiency in UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), Invision, and Miro.
• Experience with A/B testing tools to optimize UI components based on performance and user feedback.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and the ability to design for multiple screen sizes.
• Experience in creating design systems and style guides for consistent visual design across projects.
• A keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design principles including color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• The ability to leverage user feedback and data analytics to iterate on designs and improve usability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a passion for enhancing the visual appeal and interactivity of user interfaces.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders and team members.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality design work within deadlines.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
