Project Manager Expectations * Supervises and leads smaller teams or subgroup of a larger team. * Manages less-complex projects or multiple tasks on complex projects. * Leads external communications. * Responsible for team or project accounting, including invoicing, workload, scheduling, scope, roles, and budgets. * Manages team to achieve KPI's Description * Provide technical design expertise to the project team and ensure the overall quality of client deliverables. * Perform technical design for assigned projects with a working knowledge of traffic engineering in civil engineering. * Mentor and direct team members in: * Project design (engineering calculations, computer design software, referencing engineering procedures and design manuals). * Collecting and assembling complex project data. * Preparing complex project documents (specifications and bid documents). * Reviewing complex drawings to ensure clarity and thoroughness. * Preparing quantity takeoffs. * Managing external communications. * Documenting projects. * Conducting complex site observations. * Understand and meet internal and external customers' needs and expectations; develop and improve client relationships. * Manage preparation of reports, studies, proposals, blogs, journal articles, etc. * Understand basic financial terms and concepts as they apply to projects. * Account for individual project task involvement, including scheduling, scope, role, and budget. * Track multiple task budgets and schedules. * Lead or contribute to business development efforts. * Develop and follow up on qualifying leads.
