Summary

SENIOR PROCESS TECHNICAL WRITER


POSITION SUMMARY: Ensure accurate, concise, and successful delivery of process technical documentation. The Senior Technical Writer is required to develop comprehensive internal process documentation included standard operating processes (SOP) and procedures.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document current standard processes and procedures.
  • Identify information technology (IT) processes and document new or update existing process documentation.
  • Develop and efficiently manage Word templates to ensure all process documentation have a consistent look and feel.
  • Manage the creation of a documentation repository to store all process documentation and relevant process documentation.
  • Create Visio diagrams to illustrate the flow of new or existing processes.
  • Work with project managers to map out documentation strategies and schedules.
  • Host virtual Microsoft Teams meetings to gather information.
  • Work collaboratively with team members from different areas of expertise and various colleagues to ensure progressive and successful project outcomes.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical writing discipline.
  • Minimum ten years of experience producing technical documentation, preferably in systems/hardware, data center infrastructure IT areas, and risk management and mitigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with engineers and leadership to produce comprehensive documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of performing research independently.
  • Proficient in Word template and formatting.
  • Experience with scheduling/hosting virtual Microsoft Teams meeting sessions.
  • Hands-on experience with ServicePoint Knowledge Base and SharePoint publishing.


TOOLS/APPLICATIONS:

  1. Microsoft Word
  2. HTML or XML online authoring application
  3. Adobe Acrobat
  4. MS Visio
  5. SharePoint

  • Arranges information and files in a useful manner following current documentation standards
  • Works with project team members to determine the appropriate documentation to be written

  • Provides project timelines and goals to the appropriate project stakeholders
  • Works with others to set reasonable project objectives and goals

  • Learns new tools and technologies as needed
  • Incorporates new technologies into existing documentation

Standards Adherence

  • Follows standards outlined in our standards guide during the development of project documentation
  • Uses methods and practices to facilitate achievement of project documentation on-time and with quality


Compensation:

$40/hr to $47/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of

employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in

the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this
