Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer in New York, NY.
Overview:
The Senior Technical Support Engineer handles all aspects of IT troubleshooting and technical support. Responsibilities include helpdesk coordination, server maintenance, network maintenance, firewall, and switch configuration, desktop support, software support and software installation.
The Senior Technical Support Engineer keeps all networks (including cloud services), servers and equipment in working condition, administering routine maintenance and addressing/identifying repair requirements. They are responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, testing, patching, and maintaining (including backing up) all systems to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.
The Senior Technical Support Engineer is able to perform maintenance and repair during off hours to ensure the least disruptions of agency operations.* Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
* Strong research skills - able to investigate systems issues and IT products
* Highly self-motivated and directed
* Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

* Able to travel to all company locations as needed
