We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be current with new technologies and vendor solutions in the marketplace, mainly AWS services. This role requires expertise in data architecture and design for structured and unstructured data and proficiency in data modeling and developing proofs of concept (POCs). What you have : 5+ years of experience in a data architect role, including expertise in enterprise data architecture models, systems integration, cloud technology, and strategic roadmap planning. Proven experience designing and building applications using AWS (or Azure or GCP) cloud architecture and services, focusing on highly available and resilient multi-region platforms. Familiarity with common architecture frameworks, including Microservices, API management (OAuth), and Event-driven architecture. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and business strategies across multi-functional teams and to senior leadership. Demonstrated ownership of translating business visions into technical solutions and architecture requirements. Experience leading the execution of architectural vision across multi-functional technical and strategic teams. Ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, DevOps engineers, software engineers, data architects, application developers, and data scientists in planning end-to-end solutions. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a consistent track record of leading meetings. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. What sets you apart: Experience in the airline industry. Represent the Software Engineering team in defining the strategy, architecture, and solutioning for our PSS system. Define and build the overall data design and modeling across all organizational data systems. Manage data governance, data mastering, metadata management, and the creation of data definitions, taxonomies, and ontologies. Architect and deliver highly scalable, flexible, and cost-effective enterprise data solutions. Coordinate with collaboration teams to define use cases, goals, objectives, and architecture that align with business needs. Develop system and application architectures to meet defined business requirements. Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership, effectively communicating and evangelizing recommendations. Assess the current state of organization-wide architecture and identify key business drivers and technology capabilities needed for optimization. Anticipate future technology requirements and communicate these to leadership and cross-functional teams. Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams, serving as a liaison between business and IT experts. Ensure alignment between business strategies, the IT roadmap, and technical deployment teams.
