We are currently seeking a Technical Analyst to support our data engineering and BI initiatives within Microsoft Fabric. This role will be responsible for defining data requirements, ensuring data quality, and supporting BI and analytics use cases across the organization.

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Responsibilities:

• Act as the bridge between business users and technical teams, translating business needs into data models, BI solutions, and analytical reports.
• Define and manage data structures, governance rules, and access controls within Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Delta Lake, Synapse, Power BI).
• Work with data engineers to ensure efficient data pipelines that provide high-quality, reliable, and timely data.
• Support and optimize existing legacy databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.), ensuring smooth integration with Fabric-based solutions.
• Maintain metadata, documentation, and data dictionaries to enhance data accessibility across the organization.
• Identify and recommend performance optimizations for BI tools, queries, and reports.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in BI, data analysis, or technical business analysis.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server etc.) and data modeling principles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Synapse Analytics, or Dataflows.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Microsoft Purview knowledge is nice to have.
