Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $110,000 to $115,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct and review reconciliations for various accounts on a monthly basis, including cash in transit, cash holdings, inventory, fixed assets, intangible assets, and lease records.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 842 standards across a portfolio of leases.
• Verify the accuracy of monthly rent payments.
• Develop and sustain effective control measures.
• Review and manage financial statement disclosures related to leasing activities.
  
  

Requirements

• Be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience.
• Be proficient in ASC 842 and ASC 606.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be able to communicate with professionals at all levels.
• Develop detailed technical accounting memos for topics such as leases, revenue recognition, and asset disposals.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical accounting issues, offering clear guidance on proper recording practices.
