About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Manager to join the San Jose team in a hybrid capacity. This individual will manage a diverse portfolio of tax clients, lead strategic planning and compliance, and mentor junior professionals—all while supporting the firm’s continued growth and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit entities.
  • Deliver proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients across multiple industries.
  • Supervise and mentor staff; provide regular coaching and technical guidance.
  • Conduct tax research to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation is a plus.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
  • At least 3 years of management experience, including overseeing tax teams and engagements.
  • Expertise in tax strategies and regulations related to privately held companies, nonprofits, and employee benefit plans.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
