Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst
Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office per week)
Reports To: Tax Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Analyst to join our corporate tax team. This role is responsible for managing and supporting a wide range of income tax compliance and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical tax knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns for the company and affiliated entities.
- Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions and support financial statement audits in accordance with GAAP.
- Review and prepare state tax modifications and apportionment schedules.
- Maintain tax basis depreciation and intangible asset schedules.
- Prepare and review quarterly estimated tax payments and year-end projections.
- Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts, including deferred taxes, income tax expense, and tax payable accounts.
- Manage and support federal and state income/franchise tax audits.
- Handle state tax controversy matters, including notices and adjustments.
- Coordinate and oversee annual report filings.
- Conduct tax research and stay current on state income/franchise tax developments.
- Maintain the federal, state, and local tax compliance calendar.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and provide tax-related guidance.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and support the implementation of tax planning strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant corporate income tax experience, with a focus on compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced level).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet critical deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Taxation or Business Administration.
- CPA certification or CPA eligibility.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource Income Tax software.
