The Senior z/OS Mainframe Sytems Programmer will be responsible for analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software. This position supports IBM z/OS and CICS, as well as 3rd party Software. This position will also support storage, security, disaster recovery and mainframe network. This position will be required to provide after hours on-call support. This position also develops and modifies technical documents.

Requirements:

• 8-12 years of relevant experience. Ability to install and customize IBM and thrid-party software using SMP/E,zOSMF, or vendor specific installation
• Solid knowledge of mainframe JCL and utilities.
• Experience using TSO, ISPF, SDSF, and SMF.
• Working knowledge of JES2, REXX, CLIST.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting any of Db2, RACF, z/OS, z/VM, Linux, Storage, and mainframe networking a strong plus.
• Experience with zMonitoring or Omegamon also a strong plus. Experience with other monitoring tools a plus as well.
• Experience supporting Broadcom tools preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using GDPS, NetView, and System Automation a strong plus.
• Experience in mainframe storage management also a plus.
  
  

Desired Education, Experience, Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in a related job.
• Candidates can be considered if they live in one of the following states: NC, VA, TN, SC or GA.
