Under minimal supervision from the Integration Manager, the Systems Integration Specialist functions as the expert for the integration solutions, interface development, day to day operations and support of interfaces for all data integration between clinical, ERP, financial, administrative, research, revenue cycle system applications. Responsible for data analysis, interface build, documentation of requirements, building and maintaining mapping tables, problem management and root cause analysis, business owner interaction for discovery and testing, development of documentation for the ongoing support, troubleshooting and maintenance of interfaces. Lead in collaboration between EHR application teams, Ancillary teams as well as external vendors and partners. The lead on medium size integration projects, adhering to the IT System Lifecycle methodology, producing functional and /or technical specifications, conducting meetings, completing system upgrades and coordinating volume testing, leading and adhering to the BILH IT system change management processes. Takes initiative to handle tasks independently and provide oversight to other team members. This position may be assigned to work on special projects, and other job duties, as needed.

- Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for interface analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex integration solutions. Must be able to manage/multi-task on several large assigned projects. (essential)
- Gathers requirements, performs analysis, develops and maintains interfaces and applications. May include cross-team coordination and cooperation within the EHR application team , Ancillary team or vendors (essential)
- The lead in resolving cross-functional issues that are escalated throughout the development, testing, implementation, and support of the lifecycle. (essential)
- Supports assigned production environments, troubleshoots technical application issues, documents incoming requests whether handled internally in IS or with a vendor. Delivers high quality support during the implementation of new interfaces. (essential)
- Mentor, train and guide team members to facilitate career growth (essential)
- Provides on call / after hours support as required. (essential)
- Prepares and maintains documentation, including analysis, design, programming, standard procedures (essential)
- Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department and/or customer. (essential)
- Achieve and maintain required certifications (if applicable) (essential)
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- More than 10 years related work experience required in working in an Information Services Dept. or software vendor organization within the healthcare industry, or 10+ years in HealthCare Information Services with 5 years in a Supervisory or Team Lead role. Integration Engine experience 10+ years.
- Proficiency with interoperability standards such as HL7 V2.x and REST API, FHIR, Cache Object scripting or equivalent development experience preferred.
- Candidate will have a proven track record of project and team leadership, producing quality deliverables on time, taking ownership and accountability of assignments and demonstrating a strong work ethic.
- Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience using advanced project management tools and techniques Epic Bridges experience preferred.
