Location : GL USA - Gaithersburg, MD Job Description Responsible for Engineering design, planning and project management for mid to large transit infrastructure deployments. Supports system assessment efforts; Preliminary and Final Design Reviews; Systems implementation and migration efforts; Systems interface/integration/testing; documenting the pre-implementation conditions of vehicles and facilities; Implement Configuration Management process; Conducts and facilitates inspection and testing; logging and reporting daily project activities; work with other engineers, system analysts, programmers, technicians, and managers for existing systems evaluation and system upgrades. Experience in the following subjects is highly beneficial: Communications Systems and Infrastructure - Wired and Wireless CCTV and Video Management Systems Public Address (PA) LED Signs Power Systems Security and Access Control Systems Communications backhaul and IT-Related Infrastructure Experience with project schedule development and budget analysis ITS, fiber and telecommunications infrastructure knowledge Leadership and communication skills Management/Supervisory experience a plus Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Other requirements for this position are: At least 5 years of professional work experience Knowledge of CADD Tools – Visio, ACAD, Microstation MS Office – Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Desired (not required) Professional Engineer license in either electrical (preferred) or civil engineering disciplines Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship Must be willing to travel locally within the Washington DC metropolitan and Baltimore areas
