We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Systems Engineering Manager across Product Design Acceptance Representative to join our team in Canberra. This key position involves overseeing the engineering activities for an assigned Product team, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and providing expert guidance to ensure successful delivery of engineering services.

Nova Systems is revolutionising the field of Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) in Australia by bringing together the best of Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) Engineering, modern Test and Evaluation methods, Digital Mission Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to enable a complete approach to the capability.

Please note: These opportunities require you to already hold an active NV1 or higher AGSVA Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of engineering functions for the assigned product team.
• Perform engineering risk assessments and make decisions within the Delegation Instrument from the PE.
• Support Branch QMS assurance/audits and ensure compliance with Navy Seaworthiness regulations.
• Contribute to the Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) Professional Development Program, mentoring engineers.
• Lead the development and maintenance of the Product Engineering Management Plan (EMP).
• Manage design control activities, including problem reporting, engineering changes, and certification.
• Support force generation certification and test activities for Navy capabilities.

What we would like from you:

• Australian Citizenship with an active NV1 (or higher) AGSVA (Australian Government Security Vetting Agency) clearance
• Engineering Management or Team Leadership experience in Defence Projects/Products
• 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience, including development/management of Engineering Management Plans and Capability Definition Document suites
• Strong background in engineering leadership, risk management, and quality assurance.)
• Prior Defence Electromagnetic Warfare, Maritime Domain and/or Weapons Systems experience (highly desirable)
