Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. Relevant educational background such as an engineering degree from a leading university.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Linux systems and services.
• Expertise in container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Advanced knowledge and experience with virtual server environments (VMware).
• Experience with server hardware.
• Proficiency in storage and backup technologies.
• Strong scripting skills in Linux (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
• Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching.
• Experience with cloud architecture is preferred.
• Proficiency with DevOps technologies and tools (Source Control, CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, Deployment Automation & Orchestration).
• Advanced skills in infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Proficiency in English, with advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to take ownership of tasks and ensure their successful completion.
• Relevant certifications (RHCE, VMware, Docker/Kubernetes, DevOps) are highly desirable.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Linux based servers and services.
• Manage and maintain container-based systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Administer and maintain virtual server infrastructure (VMware).
• Oversee and maintain backup architecture.
• Monitor event logs and system resource utilization, perform server/application audits and health checks, and take appropriate actions.
• Optimize operating systems and applications for peak performance .Secure operating systems and services to meet security standards.
• Design, implement, and test strategies for backup, recovery, security, and disaster recovery of server environments.
• Develop and implement load-balanced, fail-over architecture for systems.
• Prepare reports, documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Research, propose, and implement new solutions, features, and improvements.
