Summary

Our client is an established OSAT (outsourced assemble & test) Manufacturing facility in the Phoenix AZ vicinity, and are seeking an experienced Manufacturing, Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the team and lead in building the new 2M+ sq. ft. manufacturing facility site.


The Senior Systems Engineer is the owner and subject matter expert for various communication systems supporting the new Arizona facility. Responsible for advanced troubleshooting, including managing the public address system, facility CCTV system, and supporting telecommunications issues.

  • Developing documents such as PM job plans, operating procedures, troubleshooting specifications, and training programs, as well as collaborating with our communication technicians and service providers
  • Ensure our communication systems are safe and maintained.
  • Provide design support for the facility team in the communication field for projects, including new construction, and theoretical technical support for the security field of the support department and the communication field of the IT team.
  • Work with multiple departments to implement all process specifications are met and projects are completed efficiently.
  • Thoroughly review project drawings and specifications to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with schedules and quality standards.
  • Prepare for the commissioning of utility equipment, troubleshoot issues that arise during the commissioning process, and ensure smooth operation.
  • Prepare all technical documentation necessary manuals, systematically organize, and deliver the related documents.
  • Develop and review communication infrastructure layout plans, including planning, specifications, and cost estimates, safety planning, and coordination with owners, sub-consultants, and clients.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures or production impacts due to communication system failures in the facility team, and support other sections as needed.
  • Support a series of emergency broadcast tests during fire inspections and fire drills related to the operation of the public address system.


Education and Abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a communication engineer, or IT systems engineer, or network engineer in providing design deliverables for capital projects in a manufacturing environment, preferrable in semiconductors
  • Prior knowledge of industrial and/or commercial processing equipment, semiconductors, or telecommunications utility operations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge in 3rd party relationships in a commercial setting, including vetting, vendor management, implementation, and implementation of systems into manufacturing environment
