Current solutions include Tyler Munis and Tyler ExecuTime. This Senior Systems Engineer will: * Lead and support the implementation and maintenance of security and workflow solutions for the County's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. * Provide expert-level user support and address general user inquiries related to security, workflow, and system functionality. * Apply strong business process knowledge and business analysis skills to advise departments on effective solution designs. * Design processes with a focus on continuous improvement and full lifecycle management. * Ensure legal compliance and adhere to best practices in security and workflow management for Public Sector ERP systems. * Ensure rapid and effective responses to support tickets, conduct system testing, and implement user solutions. * Manage smaller operational projects, ensuring efficient execution and timely completion. * Oversee assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery and that tasks are well-documented. Drawing from a deep understanding of ERP systems (especially Tyler Munis) and strong business analysis skills, this engineer will contribute to the ongoing success of the County's enterprise solutions. As the technical specialist level in the Systems Engineer series, the Senior Systems Engineer perform a wide variety of duties related to complex technical assignments with some direction and can exercise independent judgment in their work.  Remote Work Options: Some duties for this position may be performed remotely and options for a hybrid (telework/onsite) work schedule are available. However, the successful candidate must be able to report to County facilities for various meetings and work assignments upon short notice, as needed, and when deemed appropriate. Our Highly Qualified Candidate: The ideal candidate has a strong background in administering workflow and ERP systems. Experience in Tyler Munis is highly desirable. They are extremely familiar with finance or payroll business processes and well-versed in accounting and payroll terminology. The candidate can confidently discuss key functions such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL). Experience with system audits and compliance is highly desirable. Additionally, the highly qualified candidate:  * Consistently demonstrates strong decision-making, planning, and technical skills. * Has a solid foundation in business analysis and keeps up to date knowledge of current business and technology standards.  * Excels in clearly communicating complex concepts, both verbally and in writing, to diverse groups at all levels within the organization. * Focuses on process improvement in their work and as a solutions-oriented mindset. * Translates functional needs into technical specifications. * Are adaptable to change and demonstrate creative thinking in addressing challenges. ADDITIONAL SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of:  * Records management and documentation principles and standards. * Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Accessibility. * Principles of customer support and service. * Principles and practices of technical problem solving. * Testing standards and procedures. * Principles and practices of project management, work planning, and status reporting. * Business processes, operating practices, and the organizational structure of a public-sector agency. Ability to: * Apply technology to provide business solutions. * Work effectively with clients, peers, and support teams to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. * Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. * Work effectively with clients, peers, and support teams to define business requirements, provide support for software, hardware, and applications, and ensure that tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. * Research potential solutions and make recommendations for implementation; and apply technology to provide business solutions. * Develop solutions and recommend technology to provide target business outcomes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  Any six-year combination of recent professional experience and/or relevant computer science coursework that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and abilities. A typical way of achieving these requirements would be graduation with a bachelor's degree from an accredited program in computer science or a related field. Please note: * Fifteen (15) semester units of computer science coursework from an accredited program and in a discipline relevant to the assignment is equivalent to a full year of related professional experience that has provided the required knowledge and abilities of the role. * Required education may be substituted with related professional experience on a year-for-year basis.   * Internships completed in conjunction with coursework are excluded from being credited towards work experience, if they are counted towards educational requirements. * Recent experience is defined as experience gained, in part, in the last five years or longer, if technically relevant.
