We are seeking a proficient and seasoned Senior Systems Engineer to enrich the Product Management & Applications Engineering team. In this role, the incumbent will be integral to expanding the market presence of HUBER+SUHNER Polatis solutions.

You will:

• Participate in customer engagements, including presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions, to showcase the value of HUBER+SUHNER Polatis solutions
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for expanding HUBER+SUHNER Polatis solutions' market presence
• Utilise expertise in optical technologies to contribute to the selling of HUBER+SUHNER Polatis products
• Provide technical guidance and support to ensure alignment of product direction with market demands
• Conduct research and analysis on datacenter and hyperscale architectures to inform product strategy
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure effective product positioning and messaging
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in optical technologies, datacenter, and hyperscale architectures to maintain a competitive edge
• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, whitepapers, and case studies to support sales and marketing efforts
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to team members to foster professional growth and development within the organisation
  
  

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, application engineering or technical sales preferably in the telecommunications industry
• In-depth knowledge of optical networking technologies, architectures, and standards
• Familiarity with selling active telecommunications systems, including switches, routers, and/or optical transport equipment
• Strong understanding of datacenter and hyperscale architecture, including network topology, traffic patterns, and scalability requirements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
