We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our team. The ideal

candidate will have extensive experience in managing systems, applications, hardware,

storage, and networks, with a strong emphasis on virtualization and cloud services. The

role requires expertise in planning and executing on-premises to cloud migration projects,

particularly on Amazon Web Services (AWS), while ensuring system stability, performance,

and security.

Key Responsibilities

 Design, implement, and manage Windows and Linux-based server environments,

including user management, performance tuning and monitor.

 Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise applications and web/application

servers such as Apache, Nginx, IIS, and Tomcat.

 Manage server hardware, including diagnostics, upgrades, and replacements.

 Oversee virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), ensuring optimal

performance, availability and upgrade of virtual environments.

 Configure, provision, and maintain SAN, NAS, and DAS storage solutions, including

RAID setups.

 Design and manage Active Directory Domain Services, Load Balancers, and DNS

 Implement and manage SSL certificates, including renewals and troubleshooting.

 Design and manage cloud solutions on AWS and Google Cloud Platform

 Plan and execute migrations of on-premises applications, databases, and

infrastructure to the AWS cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

 Develop and maintain scripts for task automation and optimization (e.g.,

PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

 Backup and restore critical systems.

 Implement security best practices for systems, networks, and applications, including

vulnerability assessments and patch management.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects and ensure alignment

with organizational goals.

 Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge

sharing and compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

 Extensive experience in system administration and infrastructure management.

 Strong expertise in virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.

 Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services, with a focus on cloud

migrations and hybrid cloud architectures.

 Proficient in managing enterprise storage systems and high-availability solutions.

 Proficiency in automation tools is an added advantage (e.g., Ansible, Terraform,

Chef).

 Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

 Knowledge of VLAN, Firewall, Routers, VPC & Subnets with hands on experience

using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.

 Familiarity with security principles, including encryption, IAM, and best practices

for securing cloud environments.

 Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues

efficiently.

 Effective communication skills with the ability to document technical processes and

collaborate across teams.
