Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of servers, networks, and security infrastructure across a multi-site enterprise environment. Supporting over 2,500 end users across more than 26 locations and multiple organizations, this role requires deep technical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to manage complex IT operations. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise IT environments, managing MSP clients, and leading projects involving cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Server environments (2009, 2012, 2019, 2022).
  • Administer over 35 VMware servers (v6.0 and above) and Hyper-V environments.
  • Support and maintain Windows 7, 10, 11, and macOS devices.
  • Oversee and manage Help Desk operations for 2,500+ employees across 26+ locations.
  • Administer Office 365, Exchange, Azure AD, Teams, and SharePoint environments.
  • Deploy and support email security solutions, including Mimecast and Mimecast Security Agent.
  • Facilitate managed security awareness training for MSP clients using Mimecast and Arctic Wolf platforms.
  • Manage enterprise cybersecurity using SentinelOne and Cisco Duo for MFA/2FA integration.
  • Install and support Arctic Wolf network security solutions including sensors and scanners.
  • Perform annual hardware and firmware updates for network and server infrastructure.
  • Provide application support for industry tools including Procede, QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, TValue, Fixed Assets, Route Finder, and Adobe software.
  • Administer network infrastructure, including Meraki (Firewalls, Switches, Wireless APs, Sensors) and Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi.
  • Manage 25+ site-to-site VPNs and remote access for 2,500+ users.
  • Lead infrastructure projects including Office 365 migrations, network upgrades, and new site deployments.
  • Support server hardware (HP, Dell, Lenovo, iX) and desktops/laptops (Dell, Lenovo, HP, Apple, Chromebooks).
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and track IT equipment.
  • Manage VoIP phone systems including Momentum Telecom, Allworx, NEC, Yealink, and others.
  • Track IT budgets and purchase orders in coordination with finance and procurement teams.
  • Support and manage multiple MSP clients and their projects.


QUALIFICATIONS

“REQUIRED”

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems and network administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Server environments and VMware administration.
  • Experience managing cloud-based environments including Office 365, Azure AD, and Exchange.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including Meraki, Ruckus, and VPN configuration.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools including SentinelOne, Cisco Duo, and Arctic Wolf.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and common enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT environments and multiple client sites.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

“PREFERRED”

  • Experience supporting managed services clients (MSPs).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA/MCSE), VMware VCP, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.
  • Experience with HPE Simplivity and hyper-converged infrastructure.

  • Fast-paced, multi-location enterprise with on-site, remote, and hybrid support responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel to regional sites and client locations may be required.
  • Participation in after-hours support or on-call rotation as needed.
