System Engineer (MSP) – Hybrid Workplace – Austin, TX

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a Senior System Engineer with strong MSP experience to support our growing client base. You’ll work directly with a variety of businesses, providing advanced system administration, project leadership, migrations, cloud support, and escalated troubleshooting. This is a hybrid position — work-from-home flexibility combined with onsite client visits and team collaboration in our Austin office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• M365 administration, migrations, and Intune deployments
• Virtualization management using VMware and Hyper-V
• Azure AD configuration, management, and Azure VM setups
• Firewall setup, configurations, and troubleshooting (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki)
• RMM tool usage for proactive support and monitoring (ConnectWise, Datto, Kaseya)
• Lead client onboarding, network assessments, and infrastructure upgrades
• Handle Tier 3 escalations and project-based initiatives
• Work closely with clients to advise and pitch technology solutions
• Document environments, create SOWs, and maintain accurate records

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience at an MSP
• Strong experience with Windows Server, M365, Azure, VMware/Hyper-V
• Firewall experience (deployments and configurations)
• Strong client-facing communication skills — ability to explain technical concepts clearly
