Summary

Surveyor will be responsible for Surveying and helping the civil teams to complete projects on time, on budget, and within scope.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data such as measurements and calculations, reference points at site.
  • Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
  • Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
  • Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
  • Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys
  • Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
  • Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy.
  • Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS) & GIS.
  • Train assistants and helpers and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps.
  • Topographic survey using total station, all kind of Setting out / layout, alignment surveys, route surveys.
  • Preparation of Survey & setting of Drawing
  • Familiar with Trimble, Total Station, AutoCAD, Surveying, Quantity Estimation.
  • Prepare sketches and notes and perform electronic data collection.
  • Conduct physical Civil / Land surveys using a variety of equipment and tools
  • Prepare site surveying documents as needed
  • Process field data, coordinate field staff, and interface with CADD group
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
  • Schedule project in logical steps and budget time and resources required to meet deadlines and profitability targets, Review CAD drawings prepared by survey technicians
  • Calculate areas of land parcels and easements to be acquired using mathematics and computer software
  • Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys

Skill Sets/Experience We Require

  • 8+ years of proven experience in surveying residential & plotted development projects.
  • Knowledge with Total Station operation, Strong in AutoCAD, Knowledge in GPS, Triangulation / Trisection / Traversing, Topography Knowledge
  • Problem and conflict resolution skills, ability to prioritize work tasks, and teamwork is required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build solid relationships with team members
  • Professional approach to time, costs & deadlines

Pedigree

  • Diploma or equivalent degree in Surveying
