Senior STRUCTURAL Engineer (5+yrs exp REQ)

We are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join the team. Do you possess 5 to 7+ years of structural engineering and design experience of commercial and residential building structures? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to take the next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of a Senior Structural Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct the design team with suitable field's concepts, practices, and procedures to apply in design.
  • Preparation of structural analysis finite element models and calculation reports
  • Review of structural analysis finite element models developed by junior engineers
  • Review Structural 3D models of building systems and coordinate models with other disciplines.
  • Evaluation of building and structural system performances (vibrations, drifts, accelerations, deflections, and load carrying capacities)
  • Preparing construction documents and ensure design is being coordinated with other disciplines
  • Direct the design team with suitable field's concepts, practices, and procedures to apply in design.
  • Review of engineering documents and specifications.
  • Review code compliance of design
  • Assessment of existing structures & determine cause of structural failures, deficiencies, accidents, etc.
  • Provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure
  • Construction administration (attend project meetings, review structural related Submittals, respond to structural related RFI; review structural related change orders, etc.)
  • Perform site visits and inspections
  • Responsible for maintaining project schedules and achieving all project deadlines and milestones within the project budget

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Senior Structural Engineer:

  • Strong understanding of all commonly used construction materials (concrete, steel, aluminum, wood, light gauge framing, and reinforced masonry)
  • Masters in Structural Engineering
  • Florida P.E. License
  • Extensive knowledge of standard and local construction practices and national and state design codes and design standards
  • Extensive design experience utilizing structural design software such as Risa Floor, Risa-3D & Risa Foundation, ETABS, Adapt Builder, Adapt PT/ RC and Wood Works Design Suite
  • Proficient using Revit Design Suite 2025 and later
