Our client, a leading engineering firm in Boston, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Structural Engineering & Evaluation team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections for structural damage and defects.
• Analyze data on structural conditions, materials, and construction practices.
• Perform structural analysis and modeling.
• Determine root causes of structural issues and recommend repairs.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports.
• Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings.
• Manage forensic engineering projects.
• Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering and forensic analysis.
• Participate in business development and professional development activities.
• Mentor junior staff.

Requirements:

• Education: BS in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in structural engineering, focusing on forensic investigations.
• Licensure: PE or SE required; both preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
• Business Development: Experience in client engagement and proposal preparation.

Physical and Travel Demands:

• Field or lab work, including heights or confined spaces.
• Additional hours and up to 40% travel may be required.
