Come build with us! Role and Responsibilities As a CAD Engineer specializing in Low-Power Tools & Methodology, you'll join the Physical Design organization at the core of GPU IP development. The CAD/Methodology team supports vendor tools, develops methodologies, and automation that enable engineers to build world-class GPU IP for Samsung. In this versatile role, you will apply your expertise in low-power tools and design methodologies, debugging, and scripting languages to develop industry-leading flows and methodologies for power analysis and optimization. You will gain exposure to multiple facets of GPU design implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Familiarity with verification tools and equivalence checking tools is a plus. * You are highly skilled at low-power tools, design, and analysis. You have excellent debugging skills and are adept at scripting languages (Perl, TCL, Python, or Linux shells). * You are a self-motivated problem solver who enjoy distilling complex challenges, including debugging failing power analysis jobs and dynamic power problems, by seeking root causes with a data-driven approach and bringing fresh ideas to challenge past practices. * You are a lifelong learner, driven by the boundless opportunities to explore, experiment, and expand your expertise. You have experience in one or more areas of GPU design process and have strong desire to learn more through hands-on trials. * You are an excellent collaborator who proactively seeks synergy across internal engineering teams and external vendors to improve low-power tools, features, and methodologies. * You thrive in fast-paced environment and are not bounded by structure. Your self-driven adaptability allows you to navigate ambiguity across different technical disciplines while managing competing priorities effectively. Skills and Qualifications * 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/relevant technical field, or 8+ years of experience with a Master's degree, or 6+ years of experience with a Ph.D. * 5+ years of experience with low power tools and methodologies (Synopsys PrimePower , Empower, Ansys PowerArtist, Synopsys RTL-Architect, Cadence Joules_Studio). * Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, TCL, Python, Linux shells). * Strong debugging skills with vendor tools. * Experience in verification tools (simulators/debuggers), especially Verdi (ZTDB/ZWD/FSDB). * Familiarity with verification and equivalence checking tools. * Familiarity with one or more areas of GPU design process * Effective problem solving and communications skills Total Rewards At Samsung - SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $174,557 and $305,414. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
