The Qualcomm Global Automotive Team Is Actively Engaged In Offering Optimized Solutions For Infotainment And Autonomous Driving Systems. We Are Seeking Ambitious, Bright, And Innovative Engineers To Be Part Of This Initiative. Job Activities Span The Whole Product Life Cycle From Early R&D To Commercial Deployment. The Environment Is Fast-paced And Requires Cross-functional Interaction With Globally Placed Teams. Responsibilities Shall Include The Following:

• Implementation of embedded systems based on Qualcomm’s Infotainment & ADAS SoCs and platforms.
• Closely collaborate with product owners and domain/technology experts to define the specifications, lead the software design/implementation, and integrate/validate software in a larger system.
• Actively engage with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s and ISVs to implement solutions based on of Qualcomm Automotive platforms.
  
  
  

Here are some key areas Qualcomm is looking for in the candidate for Automotive Audio Customer Engineering Lead.

Experience:

• Overall experience of 15+ years with Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 6 to 8 years of Software development experience
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience is customer facing role
  
  
  

Technical Knowledge:

• Audio Basics: Understanding various types of audio peripherals such as microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, and audio interfaces (TDM / I2S /PCM). Knowledge about common terminology, sample rate, bit width, channels, gain, low pass, high pass filters etc.
• Software Architecture and Opensource software: Working experience in one or more areas of Audio: Android Audio, Pulse Audio, ALSA, Tinyalsa /plugins. Experience in Qualcomm Audio architecture or Audio weaver is an added advantage
• Software tools: Familiarity with audio tools like Audacity /Gold wave etc. Experience is Qualcomm tools like QXDM, QACT, QUTS or Audio Weaver Designer is added advantage.
• Signal Processing: Knowledge of audio signal processing techniques, including equalization, compression, reverb, and noise reduction.
• Embedded OS: Understanding Process, Threads, Concurrency, Synchronization, Memory management, inter process communication is required one more platform like Linux, Android, QNX
• Programming and Data structures: Understanding of Array, Stack, Queues, Linked lists is required. Coding experience in C/C++ /Java is required. Knowledge of scripting languages like python is an added advantage.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to audio hardware and software. Usage Trace32, GDB debugger, Logic Analyzer /Oscilloscope is required. Analysis of issues via Logcat, dmesg, journalctl and other logs is required.
  
  
  

Customer Service Skills:

• Communication: Clear and empathetic communication to understand customer issues and explain solutions effectively.
• Patience: Patience and persistence in resolving complex technical problems.
• Training: Ability to conduct training sessions and webinars to educate customers on product features and best practices.
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and solutions provided.
  
  
  

Additional Skills

• Collaboration: Working closely with other departments like SW development team, product Management, Program Management, and Product Marketing to ensure customer feedback is used to improve products and services
• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest advancements in audio technology and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
