Job Title: SQL Server DBA - W2 only - We can provide sponsorship

Location: Dallas, TX - Hybrid

Duration: Long Term

Must have:

• SQL DBA experience on-prem and also on Azure cloud
• Cloud admin on Azure and AWS
• 50/50 between sys/platform DBA and application DBA
• Goldengate, Guardium (or similar tools for replication and security)

Nice to haves:

• Oracle would be a nice to have
• AWS or Azure certifications
• Large enterprise financial services

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent desirable
• Setting up and configuring SQL Server instances, databases, and related components.
• Routine maintenance on SQL Server databases such as backups, restores, and patching.
• Significant experience with Cloud related systems such as Azure and AWS and supporting SQL Server Databases on Cloud Platforms
• Experience with SQL Server related data tools and other Microsoft support systems such as Visual Studio
• Provide database support in all phases of SDLC and agile experience is preferred
• Participate in 24X7 on call rotation schedule for various production support, database maintenance, housekeeping and installs
• Work with enterprise teams for Systems Administrators, Cyber Security and Capacity Planning groups as and when situation demands
• Strong time leadership skills with willingness and ability to prioritize multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
• Self-motivated with strong team, interpersonal and communication skills
• Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations and onboarding new applications and/or clients
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Transact SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), Clusters, Linux shell scripting, Windows Powershell Scripting, Batch Processing
• Strong Linux shell scripting experience preferred
