We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of database engineering and administration, supporting applications critical to our Distribution Center business and Home Office across both private and public cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and administer SQL Server environments, including creating databases, users, and objects, as well as performing migrations and upgrades.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies for optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain automation tools and workflows; troubleshoot existing solutions.
• Resolve moderate to complex incidents (P1, P2, P3) in a timely and effective manner.
• Lead and support database upgrade, patching, and migration projects.
• Collaborate with application teams and third-party vendors for database access, data refreshes, and deployment of changes across Dev, QA, and Production environments.
• Design and enhance monitoring tools and reports.
• Adhere to and promote company policies, procedures, and core values.

Qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of experience in MS SQL Server database administration.
• Strong experience in SQL development and performance tuning in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL (PaaS) and general exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Perl).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with AGILE/DevOps practices and SDLC processes.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is a plus.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker is an added advantage.
• Industry knowledge of the retail domain is desirable.
