We are looking for a Senior SQL Application Support Specialist to join a global banking project. This role is focused on providing advanced application support for critical systems, ensuring stability, and solving complex production issues. While deep coding is not required, strong technical knowledge and hands-on L3 production support experience are essential. You'll be working in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain system reliability and improve support processes.

🧠 Responsibilities

🔹 Provide L2/L3 production support beyond basic troubleshooting.

🔹 Debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, and identify recurring incidents.

🔹 Automate support tasks to enhance team productivity.

🔹 Manage incident resolution using tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar.

🔹 Collaborate closely with DevOps and technical teams for continuous feedback.

🔹 Analyze database impacts during incidents (e.g., downtimes, failed transactions).

🔹 Act as a point of escalation for real-time incidents.

🔹 Maintain and document production support procedures.


Requisitos


🛠️ Required Skills And Experience

🔹 Strong L2/L3 production support background (recent L3 experience is a must).

🔹 Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and incident management.

🔹 Proficiency with incident/ticketing systems (JIRA, ServiceNow).

🔹 SQL Write complex queries (joins, group by, having) and debug stored procedures, views, triggers.

🔹 Experience with Sybase, MySQL, or Oracle databases.

🔹 Unix/Linux Comfortable in command-line environments and scripting (Shell).

🔹 Understanding of OOP concepts, basic debugging in Java or Python.

🧩 Nice to Have

🔹 Experience with Java or Python.

🔹 Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Nagios).

🔹 Exposure to Kibana/Elastic Stack and batch tools like Control-M.

🔹 Banking/Financial Services background.
