Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Software Penetration/Security Test Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA. Summary: * Design and execute QA test plans for the Android platform on Point-of-Sale devices * Ideal for energized, self-sufficient, and disciplined professionals with a strong passion for technology * Opportunity to work in an Agile team of highly skilled and talented individuals Responsibilities: * Design and develop QA & Automation strategy for the Security aspects Point of Sale devices * Be accountable for the overall platform quality for one or more hardware product lines * Understand PCI-PTS and PCI-PIN specifications and implement test cases against these standards * Troubleshooting complex issues related to cryptography and ensuring correct solutions * Test and optimize symmetric and asymmetric crypto algorithms for embedded operating systems for power and performance* Bachelor's degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience/education/military background * 5+ years of demonstrated ability in a Software Security and related experience * Experience with UI Automator, Selenium, Cypress, or other UI automation frameworks is a plus * Scripting experience (Python, shell scripting) * Experience with Continuous Integration process and tools (GitHub, Jira, Jenkins) or other integration processes and tools * Hands-on experience in embedded security * Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption/decryption technologies, PKI, HSM, certificates management, TLS & (m)TLS * Strong communication and team skills * Ability to build test plans, define testing strategies, and identify high-risk areas Preferred: * Experience developing a certified/regulated product (PCI, medical, automobile, high assurance computing, etc.) * Experience in black-box and automated testing on the Android platform (AOSP or equivalent)
