Job Description:

Espressif Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Software Manager to establish and lead our software support team in Tokyo, Japan. This role is crucial in providing top-tier technical support to our customers, managing software development projects, and collaborating with global engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise in embedded software, and experience in customer-facing roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a team of software engineers to provide technical support to customers.
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to address customer issues and improve software quality.
• Oversee software development and validation activities related to customer applications.
• Ensure proper documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the team.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical discussions with customers.
• Represent Espressif in technical seminars, conferences, and customer meetings.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in software development and technical support, preferably in embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded software development.
• Deep understanding of RTOS, wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), and microcontroller architectures.
• Experience managing customer support or technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex software issues.
• Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Espressif’s ESP32 or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with open-source software development and version control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of software security best practices for embedded systems.
