About Our Data Acquisition Team

Kiwi.com’s Data Acquisition Team collects and processes vital data to enhance flight search capabilities. Our team is dedicated to creating innovative data collection methods and refining processing workflows to ensure data accuracy and efficiency. We embrace agile principles, utilizing collaborative practices like Scrum with bi-weekly sprints, daily standups, and consistent retrospectives, allowing us to adapt and evolve effectively. Our collaboration with Product Managers and other engineering teams supports daily releases, enabling rapid implementation that significantly enhances customer experiences and business operations.

What You Will Do

• Collaborating with cross-functional development teams will be essential in your role to build our collective success.
• You will write stable, maintainable, and well-tested code in a fast-paced environment.
• You will communicate effectively with your colleagues to ensure seamless integration and ongoing operations.
• You will engage actively in decision-making processes, helping ensure our teams consider diverse perspectives.
• You will challenge the old status quo and improve process automation (leveraging AI, mathematical methods, etc.).
  
  

What You Will Need

• You bring previous professional experience in software development and strong knowledge of web scraping techniques.
• You understand network protocols and authentication methods.
• You are proficient with REST API and comfortable working with various Python libraries, programming concepts, and versions.
• We seek your deep technical experience with public cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• You are familiar with tools and technologies like FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Charles proxy, mitmproxy, Docker, and K8s.
• You are eager to learn independently, bringing curiosity and resilience. You are ready to ask questions, experiment, and grow from your experience.
• We value your ability to thrive on collaboration and inclusivity in a technical setting.
• Your communication skills will be essential as you build relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the organization. Fluency in English is crucial, as you'll need to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
