QuesTek Innovations LLC, a pioneer and market leader in Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), seeks an accomplished, highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer with strong Python expertise to join our Digital Products team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific programming in the Python language and in ICME technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based packages for materials design following ICME principles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific technologies into robust Software-as-a-Service solutions
• Create and/or optimize Python codebase for high performance and maintainability
  
  

Requirements

• US Person (Citizen or Permanent Resident) status required
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science or related field. PhD strongly preferred.
• Excellent Python programming skills with good understanding of software development design patterns
• Expertise with common scientific Python libraries
• Experience with scientific software development based on ICME technologies
• Familarity with software engineering best practices (version control, documentation, testing)
