Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a passion for distributed systems, cloud architecture, and building products that scale globally? We’re partnering with a mission-driven global tech company, based in Oslo, that develops technology for good solutions with real-world impact.

As Senior Software Engineer, you’ll lead complex projects from end to end, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the long-term technical vision. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative environment spanning frontend, backend, and platform teams — tackling meaningful integration challenges and building scalable, robust software that supports the company’s broader mission.

🔧 What You'll Be Working On

• Designing distributed solutions using Java/Kotlin in containerised environments
• Delivering end-to-end features that align with customer needs and business value
• Driving technical excellence and working closely with cross-functional teams
• Leading initiatives and breaking down complex challenges into actionable tasks

🌍 What We're Looking For

• Strong backend experience with Java or Kotlin — you're the person other devs go to
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and asynchronous design patterns
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or similar), REST APIs, and event/message-based systems
• Familiarity with frameworks like Akka or Pekko is a plus
• Strong communicator, product-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment

• Experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Previous Scrum Master experience (helpful, not required)
