Our client, a leading global commodity trading firm, is seeking a Senior Risk Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, highly skilled team tasked with building a next-generation risk platform from the ground up. The platform will be a cloud-native solution that leverages modern technologies to deliver high-performance risk calculations and real-time metrics.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain a next-generation risk platform.
• Implement high-performance data aggregation solutions leveraging ClickHouse.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and quantitative analysts to deliver impactful solutions.
• Enhance risk modeling and analytics through innovative technology implementations.
• Engage in hands-on coding using Python and C++ to optimise performance and scalability.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in building high-performance, scalable systems using Python and C++.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse, Iceberg, or other high-performance data platforms.
• Strong understanding of market risk metrics such as VaR and their application in large trading portfolios.
• Proven ability to design and implement efficient solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Passionate about driving innovation and building transformative technology solutions.
