VAST Data is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Innovative DataEngine team!

As a Data Engine Software Engineer, You will participate in developing Vast Data Engine, a fully managed Serverless platform tailored for AI pipelines. You will write operators, controllers, and schedulers that integrate to other platforms and services all running on a Kubernetes environment.

- wizardry level Golang proficiency, Golang is your goto programming language
- deep familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and APIs/Clients.
- designed, wrote and troubleshot Kubernetes operators and/or admission controllers in the past
- Strong familiarity with serverless-related frameworks like Knative, and Kserve is a big plus
- solid familiarity with building observability stacks and metrics-based scheduling
- Experience in designing and developing high-scale systems.
- Knowledge of AI and big data pipelines and models development - advantage
- familiarity with Kafka - advantage
- familiarity with storage products and CSI is a plus-advantage
