We are seeking a Process Engineer in our Tempe, Arizona manufacturing facility, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining circuit board assembly processes. Responsibilities:
Create & support SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Programming to ensure accuracy of SMT machinery
Design wave pallets, reflow profiles, wave/SMT/AOI programs and manufacturing improvements
Daily technical support for the production team and ensure machine tools are properly functioning (repair as needed)
Complete documentation of production processes (procedures, work instructions, mapping) to create flow and understanding
Drive product & process quality through root cause analysis and the immediate implementation of corrective actions
Understand & apply IPC Standards to all areas of production
Facilitate and support project implementation through cross functional teams
Participate in Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives
Foster a strong health and safety environment – ensures all safety guidelines are being followed and takes action to improve conditions
Ensure departmental processes are compliant with quality management system (QMS)
Provide training and mentoring for department employees on how to solve technical problems
Advise on all technology purchases specific to manufacturing process
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in technical discipline and 5 + years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Post-secondary education in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is considered an asset
Experience in installing, operating, and maintaining electrical and electronic machines and equipment according to specifications
Experience in all aspects of PCBA manufacturing
Previous process experience in an electronics environment with SMT, PTH and mechanical assembly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
