Blu Omega is looking for a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer who can go beyond deployment. Someone who understands cloud-native architecture, knows how and when to leverage CDNs to optimize performance, and thrives in building reliable systems from the ground up.
This is a senior-level opportunity to modernize, secure, and manage cloud infrastructure for high-impact, data-driven web platforms. You’ll lead initiatives across cloud automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, while collaborating with innovative developers and incorporating cutting-edge tools, including AI features to support autonomous reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Improve site performance, reliability, and security — at the origin and CDN layers
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Lead incident response as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation (very minimal after-hours support needed)
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on architecture and production support
- Evaluate and onboard DevOps tools for performance and cost optimization
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years in development/operations roles
- 4+ years working with Linux-based systems
- 3+ years managing production cloud workloads
- Deep knowledge of CDNs (CloudFront, Cloudflare, Akamai) and system scalability
- Experience setting up monitoring, alerting, and responding to production incidents, especially for databases
- Familiarity with common development languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java) and how they interact with cloud services
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
- AWS/GCP/Azure certifications (AWS Professional preferred)
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Config management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
- Agile development experience
