This is a senior-level opportunity to modernize, secure, and manage cloud infrastructure for high-impact, data-driven web platforms. You’ll lead initiatives across cloud automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, while collaborating with innovative developers and incorporating cutting-edge tools, including AI features to support autonomous reliability.

We’re open to strong senior-level talent and potentially a Lead DevOps Engineer ready to take ownership of the entire DevOps process, from development through production. Bring your ideas, this is a team that values efficiency, autonomy, and ingenuity.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)

  • Improve site performance, reliability, and security — at the origin and CDN layers
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Lead incident response as part of a 24x7 on-call rotation (very minimal after-hours support needed)
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on architecture and production support
  • Evaluate and onboard DevOps tools for performance and cost optimization

  • 8+ years in development/operations roles
  • 4+ years working with Linux-based systems
  • 3+ years managing production cloud workloads
  • Deep knowledge of CDNs (CloudFront, Cloudflare, Akamai) and system scalability
  • Experience setting up monitoring, alerting, and responding to production incidents, especially for databases
  • Familiarity with common development languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java) and how they interact with cloud services
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

  • AWS/GCP/Azure certifications (AWS Professional preferred)
  • Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Config management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
  • Agile development experience

Location: Washington, D.C. Metro Area (Hybrid On-Site) or US based in a fully remote capacity
