We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAE Applications Engineer to join our team, with positions available in Bièvres/Paris, France, and Wolfsburg, Germany. Hybrid working environment with the option to work from home two days a week. The successful candidate will play a critical role in performing advanced engineering analysis and leading predictive analysis projects. This role involves working with a variety of materials and utilizing state-of-the-art CAE tools to drive innovation and accuracy in our engineering processes.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct engineering analyses, primarily using finite element analysis (FEA) on short fiber reinforced plastics, silicone-based elastomers, and copper alloy-based component systems (Altair and Abaqus)
  • Contribute to the correlation of high-fidelity CAE simulations with real-world performance. Make recommendations to improve simulation accuracy and drive the development of automated CAE processes
  • Lead the engineering analysis services plan for predictive analysis in the Europe region. Act as the project coordinator for predictive analysis, facilitating collaboration between diverse global teams
  • Lead root cause analysis for complex engineering issues using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams
  • Assist in the development of test plans (DVP&R) to validate feature performance and analyze test results using statistical methods
  • Provide technical mentoring and support across a wide variety of engineering topics, tools, and processes to assigned engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and CAE tools such as Altair and Abaqus
  • Experience with scripting, process automation tools (ISIGHT, Hyper study, Mode Frontier etc.) to automate CAE workflow & building regression models on nonlinear engineering applications
  • Knowledge of CAD systems (UG NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Knowledge of materials, including short fiber reinforced plastics, silicone elastomers, and copper alloys
  • Expertise in structured problem-solving methods and statistical analysis
  • Experience in simulation correlation and the development of automated processes
  • Experience in correlating high-fidelity simulations with real-world performance and developing automated processes
  • Fluent in English


What Puts You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Fluent in French or German
