Job Description
As a Senior Security Systems Consultant, you will be the technical lead on security-related programs. Specific duties and responsibilities of the role are outlined below
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Support project management duties on security, cybersecurity, and commissioning project elements.
- Act as the security lead on assigned projects.
- Assist in the authoring and development of business development and marketing-related pursuit material including RFQ/RFP, Scope of Work, fee generation, and estimating efforts.
- Lead, manage, and execute all project-related deliverables associated with planning, managing, and tracking tasks, phases, and individual work elements on assigned projects.
- Generate project materials including, but not limited to, agendas, meeting minutes, presentations, work reports, schedules, task deliverables, etc. on assigned projects.
- Support the production of system interface diagrams for integrated system test development based on approved use cases.
- Maintain detailed and accurate project records including data, documentation, and reports related to MSI team members.
- Lead test lab pre-testing including general installation verification, pre-functional, and performance testing.
- Coordinate reoccurring project meetings.
- Work with 3rd party testing and commissioning agents to develop detailed plans and schedules.
- Coordinate project deliverables between MSI partners including test plan reviews, submittal reviews, controls reviews, pre-functional and functional performance test scripts, issues logs, site observation reports, O&M reviews, final reports, systems manuals, and project close-out activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Experience
The position requires previous engineering design experience with physical security systems.
The following skills are required when applying for this position:
- Must have previous experience working on security design and construction projects either as lead designer, project manager, or similar role and relevant experience
- 10 years or more of experience in design and consulting for security solutions
- Working experience with BIM, Revit, and MS Office products
- Ability to self-manage throughout the project and work as part of a team
- Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Active participation in industry organizations
- Associate’s in Applied Science; Bachelor’s preferred
- Candidates with RCDD, PSP, CPP certification or similar industry certification are preferred. Candidates with a PE license will be considered a plus
The following skills, experiences, and qualifications are preferred, but not required for this position:
- Experience in the aviation/airport market.
- ASIS (PSP) Certification.
- BICSI RCDD Certification.
- Networking and IT experience.
Travel
Approximately 25% to 50% of regional travel is expected.
Security Clearance
This position will require the development, use, and handling of Secure Sensitive Information (SSI) as governed by the Federal Government. Applicant must be able to pass criminal history record checks required to obtain security badges at many client facilities.
