We're looking for a Senior Security Architect to design and implement security strategies, conduct threat assessments, manage security improvement projects, ensure compliance and maintain project documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and updating the security strategy: Plan and execute initiatives to improve and maintain the bank's security posture.

• Manage security improvement projects: Oversee security improvement projects, including vulnerability and penetration testing.

• Regular threat analysis: Conducting threat analysis to keep abreast of the current security landscape.

• Compliance: Ensuring that the bank complies with applicable laws and regulations. Nice-to-Have

• Security certifications: CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert, CompTIA Security+, SSCP, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Security, GIAC, TOGAF, SABSA.

• Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking (e.g., OSCP).

• Risk management certifications or experience (ISO 27005, FAIR).

• Experience automating security controls and compliance monitoring.

• Third-party/vendor risk management experience.

• Understanding of Zero Trust, data security, DLP, and emerging technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, IoT).

• Business acumen in banking and financial services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in information security, including previous roles as a security architect or engineer.

• Expertise in designing and implementing security strategies for on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Deep understanding of identity and access management (IAM) and network security design.

• Experience with security operations, SIEM, and incident response.

• Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and application security best practices.

• Hands-on coding/scripting skills in Python or PowerShell for automation.

• Proficiency with Linux, Windows, and Mac security.

• In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance (PSD2, EBA, GDPR).

• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

• Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive change across diverse teams.

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

• Fluent in Portuguese (C1) and proficient in English (B1 or higher).

• Hibryd ( 2/3 days/week onsite in Lisbon - Oeiras (Taguspark))
