Job Title: Senior Security Analyst (Contract - High Priority)
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid Schedule)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Start Date: Must be available to start within 3 weeks of offer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Security Analyst to join a skilled and collaborative Security and Access Control Team. In this role, you will help ensure enterprise systems and data remain secure, available, and compliant with industry best practices. You will support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, provide system access management, contribute to audits, and play a key role in project-based risk and security analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Support IT projects by conducting risk assessments and recommending/remediating security actions.
- Process system access requests, provisioning and de-provisioning user roles and accounts in line with organizational security protocols.
- Administer user accounts in enterprise systems, including creation, deletion, and modification.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all account management activities using internal ticketing systems.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures aligned with internal standards and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and analyze reported security issues, identifying root causes and solutions.
- Assist in the design, testing, and compliance review of system roles and user interfaces.
- Continuously improve audit and security procedures and maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis when needed.
- Oversee and maintain vulnerability scanning tools, scheduling scans, and coordinating remediation.
- Generate and maintain routine and ad hoc reports.
- Provide backup support for the Security Lead and perform quality assurance checks on account provisioning.
- Execute special security projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in information security or audit roles, preferably as a Security Analyst.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience with access control systems, enterprise applications, and ticketing systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with auditors, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of application and network security principles is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in government or healthcare sectors is a bonus.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Industry certifications such as CISM, CISA, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
Note: This is a hybrid position. The exact in-office schedule will be determined by the manager based on workload and team needs. Occasional weekend support may be required.
